OVERVIEW
Bell has long been a major proponent of self-growth and helping people get on their feet. In Q1 2019, his foundation fed and clothed approximately 600 individuals; paid utilities for the elderly, and more.
BACKGROUND
Bell grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, the oldest of six children. He was shuffled around to different foster homes as a child because his mother was medical diagnosed with schizophrenia. He eventually ended up sleeping on a floor at his grandmothers modest, and already crowded, three-bedroom home. Bell joined the United States Marine Corps at age 17 and moved to Los Angeles following his tenure in the service.
He endeavored in creative fields before quickly becoming an entertainment executive. The late 90’s was an era of international mergers and acquisitions, so Bell left the industry to do his own thing becoming an entrepreneur. He brokered commodities, acquired a telecom company, molecular technology and more. Bell authored a bestselling book to empower and inspire people across the globe. Through all of his entrepreneurial quests, Bell managed to attain his Doctorate in Psychology, specializing in Behavior Analysis. “I have been deeply connected to the human condition since early childhood. I know poverty, hunger, hurt and pain all too well. Where I am today is a result of not-giving-up on the dreams I was dreaming despite my circumstances”, says Bell.
ISSUES
Bell has been a long supporter and sponsor of youth programs, in particular at-risk youth. He believes in empowering young people to success and fulfillment—driving them to the point of distinct clarity. He has also made numerous smaller donations to a variety of organizations that focus on public well-being, elderly, and the housing of single mothers with kids. Bell was recognized by the California State Assembly for his contributions and being an asset to the people of the State of California.
